Hi Quint,

Merry Christmas to you and your Family! I hope it’s a very special time.

During this holiday I always reflect upon the year gone by. Can you believe it’s been two years since we last chatted in person? As I get older, time just seems to accelerate. I attribute that to all changes that have occurred in my trading strategy since that time period. I remember in Las Vegas you described to somebody how I had been stuck. In retrospect, I cannot think of a better term to describe it. It certainly has been a challenging and yet rewarding period of time for me taking the steps that I have. I now get up enthusiastically in the morning, awaiting what the market may have to offer. I have made some changes in how I schedule ,y day at my practice and it does allow me more flexibility on placing trades and has not cost me anything in office production.

On the performance side of things, it looks like I am going to finish the year achieving less than half of my goal. I will finish the year at 10.4% however my goal was to average 1/2% per week, or 26%. for the year. I can take solace in the fact that my strategy was sound as I could have easily doubled up my position sizes and gotten near my goal. I am determined to finally accept more risk in 2012. It will mean I will experience larger percent draws to my account than I am accustomed to. But to achieve higher returns, it requires higher risk. On the negative side, I am still 6% away from erasing all of my losses on my Schedule D tax form, sustained prior to my first visit with you. I can’t change what I did in the past, all I can do is control what I do in the future.

This letter is about giving you thanks Quint. I can’t imagine what it would be like if I was still “stuck” and looking for direction. I will always feel indebted to you for all that you have done for me. It has made my longer term goals attainable. Tickerville has really evolved into something that is extraordinary. Amazing work by you Quint! You have to at times think back and say, “wow” to what Tickerville has become.
